Maruhi Sakaba Yakitori - Yummy grilled meat with awesome sauces

Roy brought me to this place in Taman Desa. Apparently the same owner as Sanuki Udon (also, in Taman Desa)

As sanuki udon specializes in Udon, Maruhi Sakaba Yakitori (google map location linked) is more for the grilled meat lovers. So if you want some tasty protein with your beer or have a light chat, here's the perfect venue.

Address : Seputeh 6A, Faber Plaza, Jalan Desa Jaya, Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur

I didn't really know what to order so Roy went ahead and randomly selected dishes. Grilled yakitori starts from RM 5 onwards. (this shop would be the pricier Japanese food option)

Side-track : Here's Roy with his new Santa Barbara classic watch from muah :)

So he ordered some healthy snack bites. Sauce was awesome la! Complimented the vege (Carrot, Japanese Cucumber, Mengkuang, and Celery - sorry but that was my personal yuck!)

The sauce was like : a little tumeric with a hint of mustard and curry powder

See my healthy dip!!!

The tofu! Generous helping of "alive" dressing and a layer of white onion before you reach the tofu. Served with a little ginger on the side. RM 5

Some yakitori!!! The awesome sauces are (in red) Kimuchi sauce, and (in green) yummy spicy garlic-cili padi

Close up of le chicken neck - RM 5

Look at the seasoning. oh yummy! This part of the chicken is a little tough. Good texture though.

Everyone who tried this, knows this is a winner. Enoki mushrooms wrapping is love!!! Look at the seasoning and glaze on the mushroom. The slight crunchy-then-burst-juicy in your mouth layer before you bite into the meat, ahhhhhhh. This is sinful.

Ok, so pork lovers would love this, but I personally don't. A whole bowl of apparently yummy pork intestines soup. The soup was flavored from the intestine. Forgive me but this I had to pass. It was too porky! :P

I like the chilling ambience decor.
Upon entering, you would be greeted by the bar firstly.

And then the elongated yakitori bar. They serve what I believe to be rice/maize tea. Slightly burnt bitter aftertaste. They have high tables with recycled theme.

I like the authentic Japanese menu (plus point)

Last but not least, the yakitori don, japanese rice with Yakitori, eggplant and lady finger.  Rice dishes are pricey here, ranging from RM 7 - RM 20. But oh, quality assured.

Yummy Valentine's Meal. I am going again for the healthy dip and Yakitori's!!

Valentine's was different this year. We went to a hearty place and it was a good choice.

Me with my superbly beautiful red & white roses. It was dusted with gold dust.

Hope it was a good Valentine's to all of you :)
